We finally have a move date! We’re relocating to an apartment in Santa Ana next week. The house is still a possibility, but early feedback indicates that the bank will probably not select our offer. No matter. Home is where K and E are!
E, for one, is overjoyed at the prospect of having a bathtub for bathtime. The sink just isn’t cutting it anymore.
I think E might be getting ready to crawl. She hasn’t liked being on her belly since she was six weeks old. But about two weeks ago, she woke us up at 3 AM screaming. She had flipped onto her belly in her sleep. I put her back on her back and left her dozing off. An hour later, the entire scene repeated. The third time, she seemed to realize being on her stomach wasn’t the end of the world and has taken to sleeping on her belly most of the time. Just in the last few days, K and I noticed her rolling herself onto her belly to play. Could this be pre-crawling behavior?
K’s idea of a romantic evening is so easy. It requires three simple steps. First, put the baby girl down for the night. Second, prepare a spread of fixings for an unlimited number of tacos. Third, curl up next to him to watch every minute of the Democratic National Convention.
