Walk: an attempt
Monday, September 29th, 2008For Mom.
For Mom.
My precious Oma died unexpectedly this week. She and Opa were just two weeks away from moving from their home in Virginia to their new home in Arizona where they would be closer to their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. My familyy and I are devastated over the loss of this wonderful woman, though we trust she is in the presence of the Lord. I’m traveling back to Virginia later this week to participate in the funeral and grieve with my family. Please keep us in your prayers.
Above is E’s first nursery. She shared a bedroom with us in New York and slept in a play yard in a walk-in closet this summer. She shares this room with boxes (not pictured), but they make better roommates because they don’t wander in and out making noise during nap time.
I love the white shelving unit next to her crib. It’s cheap Target but its so useful. We used it as a bookshelf in Brooklyn. Now with the addition of some fabric cubes, the unit easily stores E’s clothes, books and toys.
The mobile is from Haystack in Brooklyn Heights. E found it mesmerizing from age 2-6 months, but ignores it at present. I keep it up because I think its pretty.
There’s also a lovely porch off E’s room.
Not shown: bathroom (with a bathtub!), a washer/dryer machine in a closet, and two additional closets.
