Clock/radio

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

For Christmas, I received a new clock/radio/iPod dock, bringing my decade-long relationship with the above-pictured trusty, old unit to an end.

Looking back, I see how my sleeping patterns have changed. In college, I would set the alarm an hour ahead of when I actually needed to wake up and would hit the snooze bar a dozen times before climbing out of bed. I was so bad that my next door neighbor once stole the clock and returned it two days later, suspended in my doorway, hung in effigy.

Improved diet, a beautiful sleep companion, and E and K2 have each played a role in my reformation. The new clock’s snooze button will go unused.

Merry Christmas II (now with smiles!)

Saturday, December 26th, 2009

Before we pile into the car to drive to Colorado Springs for Miller Family Christmas, here are two pictures from the Arizona segment of our festivities.

The first was taken right outside of our church, evbc, prior to the Christmas Eve service. K2–usually our smiley baby–found no reason to smile in the direction of the camera.

E, meanwhile, hasn’t stopped smiling since she received this beautiful tricycle from Oma and Opa.
