E and her cousin, Trey, put down some rhythm.

A girl turns two

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

E turned two the same week the Lord providently, but unexpectedly for us, moved our family. We barely acknowledged the day, but made up for it with a small family gathering later. I know babies change rapidly, but so do toddlers. I mean, E would hardly touch her cake or unwrap gifts at her first birthday. But at this party, she blew out her candles, ate cake and ice cream with gusto, and unwrapped gifts, falling madly in and out of love with each successive one.

There were some issues with her declaring every toy “mine” to her cousins, and she worked very hard to play with all the gifts at one time–like playing her guitar with an oven mitt while dancing in a tutu.

Speaking of the tutu, isn’t it magical and so much girl!? My sister made it for E from leftover tulle from her wedding in 2000. E loves it and thinks it looks great with everything from footed pajamas to her birthday suit.
