Wedding Party

Evie Lewis
Maid of Honor: Evie Lewis
Evie is my beloved younger sister and a renaissance woman. She reads Oscar Wilde, wrestles though Wayne Grudem's Systematic Theology, tromps around Europe, and argues politics with the best of them. She also likes differential equations. This summer, she moved to Fairfax, Virginia to work for structural engineering firm that ensures U.S. properties abroad, specifically embassies, are terrorist-safe. I miss her and look forward to being geographically closer to her after the wedding!

Heather HauptBridesmaid: Heather Haupt
Heather is my beloved older sister. She's wife and mother extraordinaire to her excellent husband of six years, Rich, and two adorable sons, Xander and Keegan. When she's not cooking, cleaning, comforting crying children, and finding respite in the Word, she runs a small business selling baby carriers. Heather has walked me through each stage of growing up. Her graceful model has blessed me as well as many other women. "Many daughters have done nobly,/But you excel them all."

Bridesmaid: Andrea Lambros
Some friends have been around so long you cannot remember when and where you met them; they're just part of the fabric of your life. This describes Andrea. We grew up in the same home school community, and our long walks and talks have been a staple throughout college and law school. Andrea's vibrant relationship with the Lord and her heart to apply faith to her life constantly inspires and challenges me. When she is not traveling, blogging, spending time with friends and family, reading, cooking, and crafting, Andrea skillfully serves our church as an administrative assistant.

Liz BrownBridesmaid: Liz Brown
Liz is an expert on culture, especially movies and music. She can inevitably give an insightful review of most current films and she introduced me to marvelous bands like Eisley and Nickel Creek as well as dragged me to many concerts (thank you Liz!). She is a consummate reader of C.S. Lewis, a diligent servant in her local church, a talented harpist, and a faithful friend. Last August, she started medical school and spends much of her time with her nose in a book and a cup of Starbucks in-hand!

Bridesmaid: Hayley RichardsonHayley Richardson
Hayley is a friend from home schooling days but we really were knitted together in late high school when the Lord brought us to the same church. Hayley has been asource of wisdom and many long conversations about doctrine, relationships, cooking, and even speaking in tongues! Three years ago, she married the man of her dreams—the honorable Clay Richardson. She makes her home with Clay in Queen Creek, Arizona and daily uses her training as a sign-language interpreter to assist a hearing-impaired student at a local high school.

Megan McGinnityBridesmaid: Megan McGinnity
Megan is a godly woman with a tremendous vocational calling (while embracing biblical femininity) who humbly offers each honor and opportunity back to the Lord. Her interest in international relations, politics, and economics has already taken her to the U.N., through much of Europe and, most recently, around the world where she had some remarkable experiences. Like me, Megan is a recipient of the Witherspoon Fellowship and we regularly revisit what it means to love the Lord with all of our mind, soul, and strength in all aspects of life. Megan is a senior at ASU.

Bridesmaid: Annie Miller Annie Miller
Annie is Keith's younger sister and soon to be my sister as well! She is a junior at Kamiakin High School who carries an insane load of classes and extracurricular activities. She is a gifted artist; her ceramic creations grace both her family's home in Washington State and Keith's apartment in Brooklyn. She is also exceedingly charming and a joy to be around. I look forward to building our friendship into the future, perhaps while shopping (our common passion) here, here, and here!

Michael FranciscoBest Man: Michael Francisco
Cisco (Michael to his mother and wife, Cisco to all of his Hillsdale friends) and I have been nearly inseparable since we began rooming together in the spring of 2001. We debated together, covered a punk rock song together, defended the invasion of Iraq together, drank copious amounts of coffee together, founded a new fraternity together, and helped start the Evangel Society together. I stood as the best man at his wedding to the lovely Christina in the summer of 2004. He will graduate from Cornell Law School this spring, though his family has already relocated to Denver where he will clerk for Judge Tymkovich on the 10th Circuit. The Ciscos expect a third member this January!

Groomsman: Zach MillerZach Miller
My first brother, Zach. I am so proud of him. He played all-conference football for Kamiakin. He won Civil Air Patrol cadet of the year. He worked his way into the Air Force Academy. He graduated near the top of his class and is now being trained as a pilot. Along the way, God brought him Kaley (and now they too are expecting!). Zach is a natural leader and has exhibited this trait since the Dandilion Game of our youth. Someday, I hope that God allows us to collaborate on our common passion for a school for young men.

Paul MillerGroomsman: Paul Miller
Paul has always been family, but for the last year we have been roomates. Together, in the bad part of Harlem, we dined at Mama's Fried Chicken, watched a season of Lost in a week, and roadtripped to see the Arctic Monkeys. Now we live in Brooklyn where we attend Sovereign Grace CityChurch. Paul is a blogger for Engadget, the number one blog on the Internet. He is also a musician and will probably be famous someday. You can also explore some of his other web identities here, here and here.

David TalcottGroomsman: David Talcott
David and I met when we were both prospective students at Hillsdale's merit weekend. We met again at the Detroit airport in August and agreed to have each other's backs during our first days at school. That deal blossomed into working out together, a year together as roommates, and a lasting friendship with a great man of God. David married well and has already been blessed with two children. He is pursuing a Ph.D. in philosophy at Indiana University. I must also credit David with challenging my doctrinal beliefs and being winsome while doing so. He is serving his local church very faithfully.

Jeremy ReinGroomsman: Jeremy Rein
Jeremy and I lived together for longer than most people. First Simpson dorm, then the Mu Alpha house and finally the Jonathan House in Washington, D.C. Jeremy has been a longsuffering and constant friend to me (even when I took his truck to the grocery store with his emergency break on). Jeremy is an active member in his local church and is always quick to turn the conversation towards higher things.

Groomsman: James SherkJames Sherk
James, Jeremy, and I all made the foolhardy choice to take University Physics from the great Jim "Judo-Chop" Peters at 8am our first semester at Hillsdale. The study sessions for that class stretched long into the night and helped cement our group of friends. James and I became debate partners where we advocated giving Iran nuclear power plants (I kid not). James now works as a fellow at the Heritage Foundation, his dream job until a safe congressional district opens up.

David HobbetGroomsman: David Hobbet
Just like me, David attends Sovereign Grace CityChurch, spent his formative years as a homeschooler, and will wed a lovely woman this March. But, proving that we are not alter-egos, David is a certified-Cameron-Crazy graduate of Duke University, plays Halo much better than I, and believes we can achieve The End of Poverty. In pursuit of that last end, David is director of operations for Jeffrey Sachs' Millennium Villages Project and has travelled thoughout Africa.
